Hypersensitivity to Electromagnetic Fields Can Cause High Blood Sugar, Study Shows

high blood sugar

(DoctorFarrah)- High blood sugar is the traditional hallmark of diabetes, a disease that affects 30 million people in the U.S. now. This disease is becoming an epidemic in other countries too, crediting a sedentary lifestyle and poor diet as risk factors.

Another risk factor for high blood sugar is identified – and that is electromagnetic radiation. For people with diabetes, exposure to electromagnetic radiation (EMR) is a potential killer for diabetes sufferers.

There have been studies in the past about the dangers posed by electromagnetic fields emanating from cellphones, wifi routers, and other digital and electrical gadgets to human health. Of course, it is easier to dismiss these studies as pure “baloney”, but the fact is new data show they are posing serious danger to human health.

Electromagnetic Radiation and High Blood Sugar

One of the scientists that had conducted several case studies showing the direct link between electromagnetic radiation and blood glucose levels is Magda Havas, Ph.D., an Associate Professor of Environmental and Resource Studies at Trent University.

Havas said: “These results show that plasma glucose levels, in Type 1 and Type 2 diabetic cases reported, respond to electromagnetic pollution in the form of radio frequencies in the kHz range associated with indoor wiring (dirty electricity). Type 1 diabetics require less insulin in an electromagnetically clean environment, and blood sugar levels for Type 2 diabetics increase with increasing exposure to dirty electricity.”

Havas conducted four case studies involving people of different diabetes diagnoses: a 12 year old male and an 81 year old female for type 1 diabetes, and a 51 year old male and 57 year old female for type 2 diabetes.

Across all her research subjects, Dr. Havas found evidence of people who are called “electrosensitive”. In all cases, installation of electrical filters lowered the subjects’ need for insulin. In one case, an 81 year old woman was able to decrease her need for insulin by 75% just by installing an electrical filter.

This electrosensitivity observed by Dr. Havas was originally described as “radio wave sickness” in the 1970s. The symptoms show up when one is exposed to cellphone towers, smart meters, wifi routers, and other electronic devices that release electromagnetic radiation.

Other Effects of Electromagnetic Radiation

Although Havas discovered high blood sugar to be a consequence of EMR waves, the aforementioned is not the only disease attributed to EMR. Other studies show other ill effects on human health of repeated exposure to EMR.

In 2017, some scientists were able to discover an increase in the risk of miscarriages among pregnant women from standard, repeated exposure to EMR. Over 900 women were requested to wear a device which would rate their exposure to EMR over a 24 hour period. The findings show that the rate of miscarriage among women was doubly higher among women who were exposed to higher levels of EMR.

From the study, it was gleaned that miscarriage occurred in 10.4% of women with the lowest exposure to EMR, while 24.4% of the women experienced a miscarriage from those who have high levels of exposure to EMR.

Dr. De-Kun Li, lead investigator of the study, said that the study provides evidence of adverse biological impact on health from magnetic field non-ionizing radiation. Likewise, recent research also linked EMR emitted by cellphones to brain tumors.
