Prescription Drugs Are the True Killers

Prescription Drugs

Are you being medicated correctly? Do your prescription drugs really make your condition better or just making it worse? The country’s war on drugs is directed to the wrong foe. Prescription drugs are killing more people and this is something that you should know.

In the US, out of the 783, 936 deaths, 106, 000 of those are the result of prescription drug use. About 290 people die because of prescription drugs every single day. Though the effects of these do not appear as literal as possible, prescription drugs slowly kill a person’s mind and body by altering his inner consciousness and awareness. This is referred to as “brain fogging.”

Brain fog doesn’t occur on a snap of fingers. It happens slowly, blurring the patient’s once clear mind until it can no longer comprehend what is normal or what should be done. This phenomenon is inevitably activated as the body system forces itself to accept what the foreign chemicals the patient pops in his mouth directs him to do. These bring a new definition of awareness to the patient as if it has always been that way for the longest time.

Prescription drugs do not address the root cause of the problem. It merely treat the undesirable symptoms and effects of illnesses, and, instead of stopping bad effects on occurring, it even adds more unwanted symptoms. An example of which was given in an article entitled ‘Prescription Drugs Kill Over 100,000 People Each Year, Are You Being Medicated Incorrectly?’ where a patient tells his doctor he is abnormally tired, at which point the doctor delivers a diagnosis of “Chronic Fatigue Syndrome” equipped with a prescription for a medication that promotes “wakefulness” such as Vyvanse, Nuvigil, Provigil, or Adderall.

The doctor’s diagnosis of “Chronic Fatigue Syndrome” is just a SYMPTOM. It is just similar to an everyday-diagnosis accepted by sickly patients which the doctor fails to put respectable amount of effort to identify on. Logically speaking, people do not get “chronically” tired just like that. It is a symptom that the body system is malfunctioning, not working on its optimal level. A symptom like this can be associated to a nutrient deficiency which can be identified by a hair analysis test. However, it’s like some doctors are having a diagnosis of being “chronically” lazy on digging into the main problem and just write prescriptions, which is an easy-breezy job!

What a saddening picture to see. If people are just well-informed that most illnesses can be treated with maintained dietary standards, they do not have to take prescription drugs which have long lists of possible side effects. Why does this need to happen? We could have avoided patients suffering if our doctors work hard to know the main problem instead of prescribing expensive and dangerous drugs. Aren’t our patients human too?

The Philippines’ war on drugs is not just fighting against illegal drug addicts but also fighting against useless drugs which bring harm to our innocent fellow men. We do not need a knowledgeable doctor who knows everything. We need a wise doctor who treats her patient with respect and benevolence.
